Aion Review
Aion is one of those fantasy MMOs that you can easy get hooked to, thanks to an immersive story and the fun gameplay. While it still is quite similar to a lot of titles that have appeared recently on the market, Aion does bring a lot of value to the table thanks to numerous improvements to the core MMORPG idea and a stellar value.
Although the game does bring a story, it can be quite hard to follow it because most of the time you will have a lot of quests on your hand, requiring you to either kill monsters and fetch certain items or go to a certain location and clear it. Even so, the story by itself is a little cliché as you need to save the land from malefic forces that are provoking chaos in the lands of Aion.
Even if it has appeared back in 2009, the game still looks stunning despite its age, and a lot of gamers surely play it because the locations are beautifully designed, the animations are solid and, of course, the character design is one of the most impressive ones that can be found on the market. All the major graphical technologies are there, so no matter where you go and what action you perform or what quest you complete, the game still looks as impressive as you might expect, and that is surely great.
There are lots of options to create your character, with two main races to choose from but a large number of classes that make it easy for you to shape your own destiny. Even if the story and quests are the same for all classes and races, changing the class will drastically modify the gameplay, which is surely great for people that are looking for an MMO with lots of replayability.
Targeting the enemies is very easy and, depending on your class, you can use different attacks in order to stun and kill your enemy as fast as possible.
Some spells and abilities can be added into combos who bring devastating results. It’s important to know that the game does bring quite a unique crafting method that will surely appeal to a lot of players.
The soundtrack is very intense and it always seems to be action packed, only those moments when you are in town come with a much smoother music. Overall, in Aion you will have the opportunity to listen to high quality music that makes the experience a lot more fun and exciting, and that’s surely a plus.
Unlike most MMOs, this game is not a grindfest, and each quest encourages exploration instead of grinding for getting a higher level. Speaking of which, you can gain the maximum level cap in around one or two weeks of casual gameplay, so you don’t have to worry about grinding that much, because you’ll get to the higher levels very fast. Instead, you can focus on having a great MMO experience, something that Aion surely delivers in spades, and that’s why we surely recommend it to any person that is interested in trying a solid and fun multiplayer game with a large community. Aion is continually receiving updates despite being more than 5 years old, something that shows how dedicated the developers really are when it comes to bringing a high value game.
9/10

Max level in one to two weeks? Wrong.
I started playing AION when it came out. The game was very different then, but has rounded out very nicely.
If you hear anyone say it is “Pay to Win”, this is not true. The game gives you plenty of items to get you started, and my own toons craft (Alchemy, Cooking, Handicrafting) and gather, to make all of the kinah (coinage) I need.
I love my homes, which are free in the game, which you can decorate and even craft your own furniture for. One of my toons is working on Tailoring so she can craft rugs and sell the extra on the broker.
The game is quite breathtaking, regardless of which of the two fractions you select, and it is never boring.
We have a Fast Track from level 1 to 55 (at 55 you can no longer enter), and Fast Track has several channels you can select from. Fast Track is 2x experience and players from all servers are there with you.
Leaving Fast Track, you end up in PvP zones (a few are PvE) and the game takes on an entire new tone. Your legion levels, and you can do legion quests that enable you to earn legion coins, to use to get an amazing horse mount.
There are pets in the game (various quests and such), auto-loot pets you can get, and a staggering amount of armor/gear to select from. You do quests for special coins to trade in for gear or you can PvP the enemy faction to earn Abyss Points, to also earn gear. Really amazing variation.
I love the game, and it’s one you just need to try for yourself. Expansive maps to explore, plenty of people on Fast Track to keep it interesting and then there is the Rifting on the standard servers to the enemies maps.
So far, it is still my favorite mmorpg.
this review is more then true. But while you look at aion as a gaming and a online game , sadly it is very different. In the Europe servers , some servers have a lack of population , others have a really bad comunity will make you have to grind for one of the best gears before you can get the best itself(and i mean really good one before going….). The engine of this game is bad as well, i play modern games witch require tons of CPU and all that good stuff and i get around 70-135 fps each game with ultra graps ,while in aion just siting i get 30-60 , not to say in EU there is a limit of 60 fps and you get banned for removing it from system.cnfg . The other problem will be the ping. Server (do not know if this is all across aion ) but in EU it has tremendous LAG spikes , from my usual 20-80 ms to like 2.5kk ms (not kiding) very often (its not my net i’ve changed it more then 2 times in last 6 months). The other side is the game its repetivie on itself , the EU is full of hackers , and the team seem to not care. 95% events are payed , LITTERLY PAYED. This game certinly is great but analyising this as a 4 year player its more then something. I would recomend you to play , but this issues will make your hurge to play quite low , but still , playing is fun. If you come for PvP this is the perfect game. Each decesion is as well crucial. Teamwork is crucial in instances as pvp. Classes are balanced (exept to fair figths for exp sin vs templar (< templar isnt allowed to use one skill cuz its impobbile to killhim) stuff like that 😀 , but the game is great! get your fat lazzy asses and come and play ;D
